This is one of the most common questions asked. Rest assured Marie has an innate way of working out what style or mix of styles you love. She will work out what resonates with you and what’s important to you and the way you live in your home. Marie will create a space that is completely unique to your personality and not a replica style that will out date. The end product will be your style elevated.
How involved in the process will I need to be?
As much or as little as you would like and feel comfortable with. It will be a collaborative process to begin with then you can sit back stress free and watch the magic of the transformation.
Do you work on an hourly rate or fixed fee structure?
Each project is unique with different requirements. Generally projects will be charged at a fixed fee so it is clear from the outset with no surprises at the end. Certain projects require consulting hours and will be charged at an hourly rate.
What types of projects do you work on?
Marie is more than just a stylist. She works on a range of projects that span new and exisiting homes and renovations both inside and out, accommodation, commercial spaces as well as products and furniture styling and photographic and advertising campaigns.
What is a typical project like?
Each project is unique but typically a renovation project will begin with a general style guide for the house then mood boards for each room. From there product selections will be made. Shopping in stores with suppliers so you get to see, touch and feel exactly what you’ll be getting. Site visits will be regular and there will be constant communication with all suppliers, trades and of course you the client.
Do I need to use your builder or trades?
Not at all. Marie will work with your builder, or preferred tradespeople. Marie has a trusted team of trades and is more than happy to refer you to those who can help as well. Marie will act as a liaison between you and the builder and tradespeople.
